About

Communication is key. I have found this to be true with my beautiful wife, Kim, as well as with my 50,000 students. With each passing day, advancing technology provides the means to keep us closer and more in-touch with those we care about. Active communication with them, and anyone else who cares deeply about the Univesity of Texas at Austin are the reason and inspiration for this blog.

Among the closest people to me are my 50,000 students, who each depend on me for their futures. As long as they can claim the 40 acres as their home, I will always be there to protect them. All I ever wish, is that they pursue their dreams and that they start every day with a smile.

Remember, with great Powers come great responsibilities.
